Studio photoshoot: A classic option for a family photoshoot is to book a session in our Miami photography studio. This is a great choice if you want a controlled environment with consistent lighting and background options.

Outdoor photoshoot: If you prefer a more natural setting, our photographer can recommend lots of beautiful locations, like Miami beaches, parks or gardens and urban areas. The natural light and scenery can add a beautiful touch to your family photos. Besides, the kids have room to play, run, and be themselves

When is the best time for an outdoor family photo shoot?

The best light is in the morning or late afternoon (about 2-3 hrs before sunset). Every season has its own unique lighting and quality. The best time of  day for a family photo shoot, especially on Miami beaches is during the "golden hour," which is about two hour or so before sunset when the light is soft and flattering. Alternatively, some locations such as Miami parks, garden or villas are good in the morning as well as the afternoons. Please talk to our family photographer about the best time for the particular location and season.

What should we wear?

Choosing what to wear for a family photoshoot can depend on a few factors such as the location, the theme, the season. Here are some general tips to consider when deciding what to wear:

Coordinate your outfits: Choose a color scheme and coordinate your outfits around it. This will help create a cohesive look in the final photos.

You don't need to match exactly, but try to avoid clashing patterns and colors.

Avoid logos and busy patterns: as these can be distracting in photos.

Try do not use black colors on children because it overpowers them, unless black color is a part of the theme or photo session style.

Do not to have one child in a bright color and one in a pale color.

Dress for the location and season: If it's a beach photoshoot, for example, you might want to wear pastel, light colors summery clothing.

Choose comfortable clothing: Make sure you and your family feel comfortable and confident in what you're wearing. Avoid clothing that is too tight or too loose, and make sure everyone can move around easily.

What if it rains?

Family portrait sessions happen rain or shine! It might be very hot, very windy, a little rainy and still the photo session will go on! The weather in Miami and overall in Florida is unpredictable and we can’t guarantee your session will happen on a perfect day. What we can guarantee is that we will make memorable and beautiful photos of your family even in rainy days.

If the rain is light, we will wait until the rain stops or we could use umbrellas to keep everyone dry while taking photos. Umbrellas can also add a fun and colorful element to your photos.

If the rain is too heavy you could consider rescheduling your photo-session for another day when the weather is better.
